How do I create a maven web application project from Eclipse?

Windows Vista || JDK 1.6.0_04 || Eclipse Web Tools Platform 2.0.1 (Eclipse 3.3.1)
We can create an EclipseSW External Tool Configuration to create a mavenSW default web application using the "maven-archetype-webapp" archetype with the archetype:create goal.
This configuration will prompt the user for the artifactId and groupId using the string_prompt variables. It will create the project in my Eclipse workspace directory since we specify the Working Directory to be the workspace_loc variable. The configuration is shown in the External Tools popup window below: 
If I run the external tool configuration, I am prompted for the groupId. I'll enter "com.maventest": 
Next, I'm prompted for the artifactId. I'll enter "mywebapp":
